The Road Map to Running a Successful Workplace Campaign

In less than two months a workplace campaign can be successfully conducted, resulting in a lasting impact on our community's health care.

First steps

  • Secure senior management support for a workplace campaign.
  • Appoint a workplace coordinator.

Pre-Campaign

  • Coordinator recruits volunteers.
  • Volunteers set campaign goals and dates.
  • Volunteers plan awareness events.
  • Volunteers work with The Ottawa Hospital Foundation (TOHF) to develop communication plans to:
    • Educate and inspire employees about the opportunities and benefits of supporting The Ottawa Hospital.
    • Build enthusiasm for the campaign.
    • Invite all to participate.

During campaign

  • Launch one-week campaign blitz.
  • Senior management provides leadership and visibility.
  • Implement awareness events.
  • Volunteers conduct a 100 per cent face to face ask with follow-up as required.
  • Communicate progress and results.
  • Have fun and enjoy the team building.

Post-Campaign

  • Final results and impact on community healthcare are communicated.
  • Ongoing recognition by senior management and TOHF to celebrate:
    • Philanthropy and community.
    • Dedication of the campaign volunteers.
