On July 19, 11-year-old Brianna McMahon (middle) came by The Ottawa Hospital Foundation office to drop off a donation of $110. It was Brianna’s idea to raise money for cancer research in memory of her grandfather, who lost his battle with brain cancer before Brianna was born. She and her “Big Sister” Carrie Reid (right) spent a Sunday afternoon collecting hundreds of bottles from homes in Brianna’s neighbourhood.
