Great hospitals require great community support. I am humbled at how this community shows just how true that is, time and time again! As we usher in 2010, The Ottawa Hospital Foundation is celebrating 10 years of fundraising since the amalgamation of the Civic,General and Riverside campuses. We are also recognizing a decade of your unwavering support for improvements within our Hospital and Research Institute. The results of years of your generosity are evident, touching every corner of all three campuses. The transformation of the Emergency Department and ICU at the Civic, the Critical Care Wing at the General and the ambulatory care centres of excellence at the Riverside are just a few examples. And, our latest triumph – the expansion of The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre. This facility provides patients with improved delivery, efficiency and quality of treatment. Our next project, an in-house research facility, will enable scientists and doctors to work closely together to create customized treatment options for patients. This does not exist anywhere else in Canada. This is an exciting time! We thank you for your support, and encourage you to continue with us in this evolution of excellence in health care at The Ottawa Hospital.

The Ottawa Hospital Foundation would like to celebrate the more than 1,500 people in our community who believe so strongly in supporting patient care at our hospital that they have donated each and every year for the last ten years.
Thank you.

Why give monthly?
Here's what some of our 10-year monthly donors have to say about why they support The Ottawa Hospital.

“I’ve donated monthly to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation for many years. The Ottawa Hospital is very special to me. My children were born there, and they have cared for me and other family members for cancer surgeries and treatments in a thoughtful and compassionate way.”

–Mrs. Carole Doty

“Most people don’t know how important it is to have a hospital like TOH in our region. The staff is always very helpful, courteous and professional and the care is top-notch! I like to know I’m contributing and my donation is processed automatically and securely every month.”

–Mrs. Maureen Hall

“I was a nurse myself, back in England, so I know the good work they are doing at The Ottawa Hospital. I like the feeling of supporting that work all year long and monthly giving is easy and convenient!”
