Research Advances at The Ottawa Hospital
Thanks to generous community support, scientists at the Ottawa Health Research Institute (OHRI) are making exciting advances...

On May 2, 2008, The Ottawa Hospital Foundation launched the 20-20 Campaign to raise $20 million in 20 months for the expansion of The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre at the General Campus. The community has embraced this campaign, donating $2.9 million in the first three months. This campaign will double the size of the Cancer Centre, add 15 new chemotherapy chairs (for a total of 47) and centralize nine radiation bunkers. Funds from the campaign will also be set aside for cancer research. Construction is now underway and slated for completion in 2010. Thanks to a government leveraging agreement, every dollar donated by the community triggers an additional $2.30. For more information on how you can support the 20-20 Campaign, visit www.ohfoundation.ca.

Dr. Goss and the rest of the Cancer Centre staff are truly my guardian angels.”
