Spooky Rattle Me Bones Race Raises Record $70,000!
(OTTAWA, ONTARIO) – More than 1,500 runners
and walkers raised a record $70,000 for The Ottawa Hospital at this
morning’s 2006 Rattle Me Bones race at the General Campus.
Now in its13th year, Rattle Me Bones has raised more than $400,000
for improvements at the Hospital to date.
“What a fantastic day,” said Kent Woodhall, Race Director
and Planning Coordinator at the Hospital’s General Campus.
“A great time was had by all, while once again raising an
incredible amount for the Hospital. To all the volunteers and the
supporters in the community, I can’t thank you enough.”
Proceeds from this year’s race, which was presented by Schering
Canada, will go toward patient care, and arthritis and orthopedic
research at The Ottawa Hospital.
The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is a multi-campus, academic
health sciences centre, serving 1.5 million residents of Ottawa
and Eastern Ontario, both in English and French. It provides care
for more patients than any other hospital in Canada, and is one
