Third Early Bird Winner Announced for 2006 Ottawa Hospital Lottery
(OTTAWA,
ONTARIO) – The Ottawa Hospital Foundation today announced
John Kelly of Manotick (ticket number T014082) as the lucky winner
of the third Early Bird Draw of the 2006 Ottawa Hospital Lottery.
The Foundation also urged the community to buy their tickets before
the final sales deadline at midnight on Friday, May 12.
Please note that Ottawa Hospital Lottery ticket sales are down
this year.
The good news for ticket buyers is that by buying a ticket now,
your chances are better than ever to win the $1.2 million grand

The final draw on May 31 is for close to 3,700 prizes, including:
- $1.2 million luxury estate home.
- Four Ford cars and trucks.
- Five European cruises and a Grand Canyon vacation.
- A once-in-a-lifetime whale-watching adventure in the Sea of
Cortez.
- Tickets to the red-hot Ottawa Senators and much, much more.
As the winner of the third Early Bird, Mr. Kelly has won a fabulous
prize package worth more than $76,000, including a 2006 Infinity
M35X and a Toronto shopping getaway. Foundation representatives
also drew names for an additional 2,000 Lottery tickets. The winners
will receive another Lottery ticket for an extra chance of winning
the $1.2 million dream home, cars, trips and more. The final draw
takes place on May 31.
The Early Bird winner will be published in the Ottawa Citizen
and Le Droit on Friday, May 12, 2006. The names of the
2,000 additional ticket winners will be posted on The Ottawa Hospital
Lottery Web site on May 11.
Proceeds from this year’s Lottery will help fund a number
of improvements at The Ottawa Hospital, allowing it to upgrade outdated
facilities and purchase new equipment. The key project supported
by Lottery funds is the new Critical Care Wing, currently under
construction at the Hospital’s General Campus. When complete,
the Wing’s features will include:
- 17 state-of-the-art operating rooms equipped with the latest
surgical equipment.
- 32 Intensive Care Unit beds to offer more space and better
treatment for our sickest patients.
- A new Chronic Pain Management Centre to support patients with
long-term, disabling pain.
