The Ottawa Hospital Foundation Announces Early Bird Winner of the 2005 Ottawa
Hospital Lottery!

(OTTAWA, ONTARIO) – The Ottawa Hospital Lottery today announced Donald
Mallette (ticket number #10137) as the lucky winner of the 2005 Ottawa Hospital
Lottery Early Bird draw.
Mr. Mallette has won a fabulous prize package worth $66,855 including a Caribbean
cruise for two, a 2005 Ford Mustang GT convertible, groceries for a year, and
Ottawa Senators season tickets.
Representatives of The Ottawa Hospital Foundation also drew the names of another
1200 ticket holders. The winners will get an additional lottery ticket, giving
them an extra chance of winning a fully decorated estate home, travel packages
or cash! The final draw for prizes including the grand prize — a home
worth one million dollars — will take place on June 1. A complete list
of Early Bird winners will be published in the Ottawa Citizen on Monday, May
23, and Le Droit on Tuesday, May 24. The names of the winners will also be posted
on The Ottawa Hospital Lottery Web site.
Proceeds from the lottery will help fund a number of improvements in patient
care at the Civic, General and Riverside Campuses of The Ottawa Hospital, including:
• Doubling the size of the emergency departments and converting them into
state-of-the-art facilities.
• Doubling the number of beds in the intensive care units of the Civic
and General campuses.
• Adding new, state-of-the-art operating rooms.
