- The Ottawa Hospital
Research Institute (OHRI) is the research arm of The Ottawa
Hospital.
- It is one of the fastest growing and most respected hospital-based
research institutes in Canada.
- The OHRI has more than 470 scientists and clinical investigators,
working on some 650 research projects.
- OHRI scientists are leading the way in finding new treatments
and possible cures for diseases like cancer, diabetes, arthritis,
and Parkinson’s.
The Ottawa Hospital Foundation
- Every dollar raised by The Ottawa Hospital Foundation stays
here in the community.
- The Ottawa Hospital Foundation is the fourth most efficient
hospital foundation in the country.
- The government covers important operating costs, but we need
to build on this funding to give our community the latest lifesaving
equipment, the most up-to-date facilities, and access to vital
research that may one day lead to cures for diseases such as cancer
and diabetes.
- You can designate your gift to a particular project or area
of research, or allow the Foundation to direct the money to where
the Hospital needs it most.
